The Christian Care Foundation for Children with Disabilities (CCD) is located in Nonthaburi, Thailand, which is about an hour north of Bangkok. To be more precise, CCD’s address is as follows:
18/1075 Moo 5 Sukhaprachasan 2 Road
(Soi Wat Koo)
Bangpood, Pakkred, Nonthaburi 11120
Within CCD, I’ll be staying with some of the Thai staff who live in the Rainbow House, which is where I’ll be working at on Monday’s and Tuesday’s. Rainbow House is both a day care and an orphanage, giving rehabilitation therapy and education programs to about 30-40 children, ranging anywhere from 2-21 years old. The government has also been kind enough to let CCD run projects within their homes, housing over 450 children. This is where I’ll be at on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. More specifically, I’ll be working in the Rachawadee Girl’s day care centre section, providing education, therapy, and vocational training for about 30-35 girls ranging from 7 years old to young adults.
